Distress flare – part one.

If you know anybody that has a boat or yacht, asking them if they have any ‘out of date’ flare’s aboard is a fair enough question as there is a high chance they have. To me it didn’t matter what flare I got my hands on, I just wanted to photograph one in full burn. I was given a white, collision flare to my delight. The burn time was only for 60 seconds and as this was the first time I’d attempted to photograph a fast burning bright object like this, I spent half that time trying to adjust the camera. I’ve since leant that one can buy a bucket of flare’s via marine based websites, fantastic. Lets call this part one.
